We’re often asked if we can accommodate Adobe skills training outside of our advertised short courses. The answer is yes, we do offer both customised individual training as well as corporate group training sessions.
We recently conducted a full day workshop for members of the Communications team at the CSIRO. They were keen to learn Adobe Premiere Pro video editing, but had missed the dates for the most recent short course. They had various levels of experience in their group and wanted a good all-round foundation workshop to get them all up to a skill level where they could start producing video content for web and social media.
The group were keen to learn how to start producing quick, professional, in-house videos for internal communications.
It was a packed workshop schedule with a lot of information to cover, but they were certainly up for the challenge! After an overview of the importance of story-telling considerations, professional videographer Shane Williams (Fivespice Creative) stepped them through a range of topics including launching projects, understanding the editing tools, importing various media, selecting shots, basic editing techniques, adding titles, and outputting final product.
At the end of the day participants were able to utilise existing footage to create engaging content for web and social channels.
Shane finished the session with time to answer as many questions as they could think to ask, and we were really pleased to get their feedback:
– “Fantastic foundation skills learned.”
– “I can already see myself using the software! And the app recommendations were great.”
– “I found the tips and tricks extremely useful. As a beginner I didn’t even know how to open a project [to get started].”
– “Great content, relevant and well set up.”
Coming up in 2018, Shane will be delivering Create Social Media Content On Your Phone and Lightroom: Enhance Your Digital Images.
